Tom Holland Flew 4000 Miles To Visit Zendaya In Budapest Like A Truly Devoted Boyfriend

Tom Holland pulled off quite the romantic gesture this week, traveling over 4,350 miles from New York City to Budapest to visit Zendaya, who's filming the Dune sequel there. Holland has been filming The Crowded Room in the Big Apple, so he'll be flying another 4,350+ miles back.

A fan noted that Holland was seen knitting on a commercial flight to Budapest (a sensible, climate-friendly choice given all the celeb private jet controversy). He and Zendaya were later spotted sightseeing in the city by a fan there.

It's been over a year since Holland and Zendaya's romantic relationship became public when the two were filmed making out in a car last summer. And while the couple has spent part of it long distance, filming projects in different cities, they've been seen visiting each other on their sets regularly when their schedules permit. Holland once even flew from New York to Rome to surprise Zendaya with a dinner date there.

While Holland and Zendaya are no longer hiding their relationship at all, Holland did admit to GQ in November that the two never really wanted the world to know they were dating.

'One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,' Holland said, alluding to the kissing video. 'I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy.'

'I don’t think it’s about not being ready [to go public with our relationship],' he continued. 'It’s just that we didn’t want to.'

In terms of what he does share publicly, 'it’s not a conversation that I can have without her. You know, I respect her too much to say… This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.'
