Tom Holland addresses future as Spider-Man
Tom Holland has addressed his future as Spider-Man, admitting he would "love" to return if they can find the "right" story.
The actor last appeared as the web-slinger in 2021's No Way Home, though concrete updates on the fourth movie have been few and far between since.
Things were further complicated by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strikes earlier this year, which delayed initial meetings about Spider-Man 4.

Speaking recently at the Critics Choice Association, Holland has now spoken about playing the character going forward.
"All I can say is that we have been actively engaging in conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth rendition of my character," he said (via Collider). "Whether or not we can find a way to do justice to the character is another thing.
"I feel very protective over Spider-Man. I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy.

"So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character."
However, the star seemed hopeful, adding: "But that said, if we can figure that out, I would be a fool not to put the suit back on again because I owe everything to Spider-Man.
"I love the character and the people I get to work with. So, I would love to tell another story, but I’ll only tell it if we can find the right one."

Speaking back in June, Holland – who is currently taking a break from acting – admitted he was "a little apprehensive" about a fourth movie.
"There's a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises," he told the Hollywood Reporter.
"I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there's a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life."
