‘Tom Brady helped me beat brain cancer’: See star quarterback reach out to young fan

Fans got treated to a heartwarming moment at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Chicago Bears game Sunday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay.

Quarterback Tom Brady noticed a boy in the crowd who had been holding a sign that read, “Tom Brady helped me beat brain cancer.”

After the victory (38-3), the 44-year-old father of three ran over to Noah Reeb and planted a team cap on his head as the 9-year-old burst into tears.

The Bucs shared the moment on social media as did Noah’s proud dad. “Noah’s first NFL game. A dream come true. Still hard to believe,” wrote James Reeb.

This isn’t the boy’s first encounter with Brady, the first player in NFL history with 600 career touchdown passes.

Back in March, the former New England Patriots star also shared a get well video message with the the Salt Lake City, Utah, boy, who had been diagnosed with brain cancer in December 2020.

The boy had been a huge fan of Brady, and the football icon helped him through his grueling health journey, mom Jacques Reeb posted on her Instagram. Pics show Noah shaved his hero’s jersey number, 12, onto his head and wore his lucky Bucs jammies during hospital stays.

“I’m thinking about you. I’m with you,” says Brady in the video to the child. “My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hang tough. You’re gonna be great, I know it.”

“He has been a constant,” Reeb wrote in her stories of the California native who recently bought a home in Miami Beach with wife Gisele. “Someone Noah could count on. A guy who never gives up, perseveres and stays focused and calm under pressure. An exceptionally decent human and incredible athlete. Someone who has also defeated the odds. That’s a real hero.”

A GoFundMe page, which raised about $23,000 for Noah’s treatment, says the boy was given the all clear in May and is currently cancer-free.
