Gabe Gardner, the 2008 Olympic gold medalist in volleyball and his wife Lauren McFall Gardner, a 2004 Olympic bronze medalist in synchronized swimming, dropped by KCRA 3’s Olympic Zone in Sacramento’s DOCO to talk about what their Opening Ceremony experiences were like. “It really feels like the whole world stops,” Lauren McFall Gardner said of the feeling of representing your country and being with other athletes from across the globe.
