Wiping out on a skateboard is a painful experience, but wiping out on a skateboard and taking a rail to the groin is a whole different level of pain.

Unfortunately for Peru's Angelo Caro Narvaez, that's exactly what happened during his first run in the preliminary heat at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

"The Peruvian really just laying it all out there," one of the broadcasters quipped shortly after his fall.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

Narvaez landed his previous rail grind awkwardly, and as the other rail neared, aborted his board. Unfortunately for him, his board ended up in much better shape than his pelvic region. If you listen closely, you can actually hear the sound of his midsection colliding with the rail.

That's a pretty tough scene.

If there's one thing we learned about Narvaez at these Olympics, however, it's that there's no quit in the guy. Despite the thunderous collision, he picked himself up and qualified for the final with a solid second run.

If they gave out medals for perseverance, Narvaez would've been awarded the gold, silver, and bronze for his courageous, bounce-back performance.
