Timelapse Shows One of Year's Earliest Sunsets Reflected in Manhattan Skyline

The Manhattan skyline reflected the vivid hues of a golden sunset on the afternoon of December 5, as the earliest sunset of the year fast approached.

While the winter solstice is fixed at December 21 in the Northern Hemisphere, the earliest setting of the sun does not coincide with it, for reasons explained by the Weather Guys at the University of Wisconsin.

Alexander Krivenyshev recorded this footage from the New Jersey side of the Hudson River.
