The upcoming English-language film of the acclaimed Spanish director follows "an imperfect mother and daughter, separated by a huge misunderstanding," as per the official logline.

"At the heart of this conflict, Ingrid (Moore), a friend of Martha (Swinton), the mother, becomes a witness to the pain and bitterness of each of them.

“The film addresses the boundless cruelty of wars and highlights the two writers' singular approaches to portraying reality. It explores the themes of death, friendship, and sexual pleasure, which are considered essential allies in the fight against horror.

"In a house nestled in the heart of a nature reserve in New England, the two friends will experience a situation that is both extreme and surprisingly tender."
