TikTok CEO hearing live stream: Watch Shou Zi Chew testify in Congress amid talks of ban

The potential ban of TikTok in the United States is set to be the focus of a House hearing Thursday featuring testimony from the company's CEO.

TikTok is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. Scrutiny over TikTok’s relationship with Beijing put the company in the crosshairs during the Trump administration and the Biden administration.

Now, some lawmakers in the U.S., including the Biden administration, are demanding that the app be sold or banned.

TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew is set to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Thursday, his first appearance before a Congressional committee.
