How to get tickets for Kentucky’s Music City Bowl matchup against Iowa

The University of Kentucky is headed to the Music City Bowl for the first time since its 2017 season.

The Wildcats will face Iowa on New Year’s Eve in what will amount to a rematch of last season’s Citrus Bowl, during which Kentucky won 20-17 Jan. 1, 2022.

But this year, Cats fans will have a tough choice to make. That’s because the Music City Bowl game kicks off at noon – the same time the annual Kentucky-Louisville men’s basketball game tips off in Lexington.

For fans who want to travel to Nashville to catch the football game live, ticket sales are now open at the Music City Bowl’s official website.

Ticket prices on Ticketmaster.com range from $20 to $139 or more. The best seats in the house could cost you $300 and up, however.

Season ticketholders had purchasing priority for all potential UK bowl games, a university representative said.

Students will have the opportunity to purchase bowl tickets starting Tuesday afternoon and running through Friday, Dec. 9. Tickets are available while supplies last and must be purchased online through students’ My UK Athletics Student Account.

Kentucky is 12-9 all time in bowl games and 2-3 in the Music City Bowl.

For fans hoping to catch the game from their couch, ABC is carrying the football game, while the Kentucky-Louisville basketball game will be broadcast on CBS.
