Grab a cheap lunch at Burger King

Burger King is celebrating the 64th birthday of the Whopper with a two-day throwback deal.

Details: The deal started Friday and goes through Saturday. Participating restaurants nationwide will offer serve up the burger for the original price of 37 cents.

But to redeem the “birthday bash” deal, you need to be a member of the new Burger King Royal Perks loyalty program. Account registration is required and there’s a limit of one per account.

You’ll need to add the coupon before placing the order, Burger King said. It can’t be combined with other offers. There are 1,024 potential sandwich combinations, the chain said.

The deal comes on the heels of the fast-food chain saying Wednesday it would cut menu items to speed up service at drive-thru lines.

Target gift cards

The once-a-year chance to save on Target gift cards returns this weekend.

For two days, get 10% off Target store gift card purchases up to $500 for a maximum savings of $50. The annual gift card sale starts Saturday and continues through Sunday.

Details: To get the rare gift card discount, available in-store and online, you have to be a member of Target Circle, Target’s loyalty program. (Here's a guide on how to save with the free program.)

The discount can be used for one in-store or online transaction per Target Circle account, according to the offer details. Gift cards purchased online can be shipped as physical cards or sent via email or text.

Tyko's tip: The gift cards don't have to be used as gifts. You can use them yourself and add the cards to the Target app to redeem at checkout in stores or online. The gift cards can also be used with Target Circle to earn 1% on nearly every purchase.
