Duke of Sussex settles court case with The Sun's publisher
The Duke of Sussex has settled his High Court case against the publisher of The Sun. Harry and former Labour deputy leader Lord Tom Watson brought legal action against News Group Newspapers (NGN) over allegations of unlawful information gathering by journalists and private investigators between 1996 to 2011. NGN, which also ran the now-defunct News Of The World, has denied any unlawful activity took place at The Sun.

Prince Harry settled his lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch's News Group Newspapers (NGN) over alleged unlawful information gathering, his lawyer said on Wednesday. Harry's lawyer said a deal had been struck after NGN agreed to pay significant damages and admitted Harry, younger son of Britain's King Charles, had been the victim of unlawful activity by the Sun and had suffered phone-hacking at the hands of the News of the World.

Kyle Clifford pleads guilty to murders of racing commentator's wife and daughters
A man has pleaded guilty to murdering the wife and two daughters of racing commentator John Hunt in a crossbow attack. Kyle Clifford, 26, from Enfield, was accused of stabbing Carol Hunt, 61, to death and fatally shooting Louise, 25, and Hannah Hunt, 28, with a crossbow at their family home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on 9 July last year. Clifford had tied the arms and ankles of his former partner, Louise, with duct tape before he shot her through the chest with a crossbow bolt.

Citi raises average 2025 oil price forecasts, citing geopolitical risks
"The oil outlook could see heightened, sustained geopolitical risks in Iran/Russia-Ukraine potentially wipe out the 2025 oil balance surplus, but the Trump administration appears intent on dealmaking," the bank said in a note. Citi expects Brent crude to average $67 a barrel in 2025, up from a previous forecast of $62. The Biden administration on Jan. 10 sanctioned more than 100 tankers and two Russian oil producers, leading to a scramble by top buyers China and India for prompt oil cargoes and a global rush for ship supply as dealers of Russian and Iranian oil sought unsanctioned tankers.
