Grandfather Clock on The Masked Singer (ITV Plc)

The Masked Singer has revealed that Glenn Hoddle is Grandfather Clock as he became the fourth contestant to leave the competition.

Former England and Spurs footballer and manager Hoddle had cropped up in the list of guesses from the panel, but none of them settled on him as their final guess.

Grandfather Clock went up against Viking in the sing off, but in the end the panel of Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross chose to keep Viking for another round.

In one of the clues he offered to the panel, Grandfather Clock had said that the Prime Minister once compared their jobs.

Explaining that he had met Tony Blair when he was managing the England team for the 1998 World Cup, Hoddle said: “He said for the World Cup, I had a bigger job than he did for six weeks.”

Talking about his Masked Singer costume, he said: “It was so endearing, when I saw it I fell in love with it.”

Hoddle added: “I’ve always loved singing, so when the opportunity came I thought, let’s do it. But it’s easy in the kitchen, isn’t it, and then you come out here.”

Lots of viewers have guessed that Blob could be Richard Osman, but the gameshow presenter jokingly denied that he was behind the mask.

Blob was voted straight through to the next show, so we will have to wait a little longer to see whether Osman was telling the truth.

All of the clues for BushBaby appeared to lead to Matt Lucas, with some of the panel guessing the Bake Off presenter was in the costume, too.

The panel thought Harlequin might be Alexandra Burke, but also guessed that she could be Macy Gray or Sheila Ferguson.

Next week will see all of the remaining masked singers perform in the same show for the first time.
