During the midnight Star Wars toy bonanza on Force Friday, a few lucky fans were able to get their hands on the adorable BB-8 droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. At $150, the app-controlled robot (manufactured by Sphero, who developed the technology behind the actual prop) sold out within minutes, leaving thousands of Jedi aficionados sadly droid-less. Fortunately, some of the folks who did score a robot are sharing the wealth via YouTube. Here, the five best BB-8 toy videos to debut so far, with special appearances by puppies, babies, and Ariel the mermaid.
Still the BB-8 video to beat: Vanity Fair let the little droid loose in a room full of very confused puppies.

Not cute, but fascinating: uBreakiFix cut BB-8 open to check out the gyroscope mechanism. It’s like the less disturbing version of taking apart a Furby.

Turns out BB-8 is good with babies! YouTube user Chris Baller introduced him to a thoroughly delighted toddler.
Less impressed by BB-8? Cats. Here’s YouTube user Scott Mochi giving the robot a whirl with his cat Mochi, who clearly thinks the $150 could have been better spent on empty boxes.
