Tell Me Lies season 2 is officially happening! Here's all the info

It's good news, Tell Me Lies fans, as the series has officially been confirmed for season two! So, that's more romance, more drama and more dark secrets. We can't wait.

Season one is currently streaming on Disney+, following characters Lucy and Stephen over eight years. Based on Carola Lovering's novel of the same name, the series tracks the pair's toxic but passionate relationship, from meeting at college to heading into their twenties - with a whole load of (sometimes dark) drama unfolding along the way. Plus, it's executive produced by Emma Roberts, which makes this one even more of a treat.

When was Tell Me Lies season 2 confirmed?

Disney+ announced that Tell Me Lies had been renewed for a second season on 29 November, two months after S1 first aired.

Meanwhile, the show's US streamer Hulu shared the happy news on Instagram, posting a video montage of the characters including a note reading "Tell Me Lies season 2 is coming." The streaming platform added the caption, "see you for season 2. <3," and we couldn't be more excited. Take a look at the post here.

Who will star in Tell Me Lies season 2?

Of course, Tell Me Lies wouldn't be Tell Me Lies without Stephen and Lucy, meaning we'll expect to see actors Jackson White and Grace Van Patten returning in their respective roles.

Other cast members include Catherine Missal as Bree, Spencer House as Wrigley, Sonia Mena as Pippa, Alicia Crowder as Diana, Branden Cook as Evan, Benjamin Wadsworth as Drew, Zoe Renee as Charlie.

Season one of course saw Macy being killed in a car accident, meaning we'll only expect to see actor Lily McInerny in flashback form.

When will Tell Me Lies season 2 be released?

While Disney+ and Hulu have confirmed that season two is happening, they sadly haven't shed any light on a release date just yet.

It was first reported that Hulu had ordered season one back in August 2021, with the series going on to air in September 2022. So, following that schedule, we'd hope to see Tell Me Lies season 2 by the end of 2023, or potentially early 2024. Fingers crossed we'll be in luck sooner!
