What you need to know about Donald Trump's Gaza plan
Donald Trump's announcement that he wants to "develop" Gaza and turn it into the "Riviera of the Middle East" has been described as "absurd" and "entirely unrealistic". During a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu late on Tuesday, Mr Trump proposed that the two million people living in Gaza could be moved to Jordan, Egypt - and beyond. While it is not clear how Gaza will be rebuilt when the current conflict between Hamas and Israel ends - it is equally uncertain how the US would come to "own" Gaza, resettle its population, and redevelop the land.

AMD's AI chip revenue miss hits shares amid pressure from Nvidia
(Reuters) -Advanced Micro Devices shares tumbled 8% on Wednesday after the company's AI chip revenue failed to meet analysts' high expectations, underscoring its struggle to grab market share from well-entrenched market leader Nvidia. The company's fourth-quarter data center revenue, which reflects demand for its AI processors, jumped 69% to $3.9 billion, missing the consensus estimate of $4.15 billion. "AMD may still be taking market share from Intel in the central processing unit (CPU) side of things, but it remains a long way behind Nvidia and is struggling to catch up when it comes to graphics processing units (GPU)," said Ben Barringer, technology analyst at Quilter Cheviot.

Amazon's Whole Foods asks agency to set aside the results of a union win at a Philadelphia store

In a filing submitted to the agency this week, attorneys for Whole Foods Market argued the union involved with the election, held last week at a store in Philadelphia, interfered in the process by promising employees a 30% wage increase if they unionized and providing free transportation to them the day of the vote. The company also accused The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union – which worked to unionize workers through a local chapter – of intimidating employees who supported Whole Foods.

Former NLRB member sues Trump for firing her
A former member of the National Labor Relations Board sued U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, saying he illegally fired her from the agency that protects American workers' rights. Gwynne Wilcox said her Jan. 27 firing, in a late-night email from the White House, violated the National Labor Relations Act, which says board members can be fired only for neglect of duty or malfeasance in office and for no other cause. In her complaint filed in the Washington, D.C., federal court, Wilcox called her termination "part of a string of openly illegal firings" by Trump early in his second term.
