Well, Taylor Swift is officially rookie of the year. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had a fairytale ending to football season with a sweet on-field kiss after the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 2024 over the San Francisco 49ers.
Super Bowl LVIII, which the NFL reports was the seventh longest game in the history of the league, ended with a final score of 25-22 in overtime at Las Vegas, Nevada's Allegiant Stadium. This win makes the Chiefs back-to-back Super Bowl Champions, their third Super Bowl win in just five seasons.
When the Chiefs cinched their win, the game cameras panned straight to Swift and her friends going berserk with celebration in their VIP box, after many a stressed and tense moment throughout overtime. Swift brought Blake Lively, Ice Spice, and Ice's producer partner RiotUSA to the big game.
During the Verizon Super Bowl Post-Game Show, Swift was notably absent from Kelce's side on stage during the presentation of the Vince Lombardi Trophy — while he screamed “Chiefs Kingdom," “You gotta fight for your right to party,” and rounds of chants of “Viva Las Vegas” — but was applauding and looking on proudly, blowing kisses to her man from the crowd gathered on the field.
Kelce and Swift shared a sweet embrace after the trophy presentation, with Swift planting huge celebratory smooches on the Chiefs tight end. “Oh my gooood,” she could be heard yelling to Kelce as they hugged for the first time since the game began. “Come here girl,” he said as he pulled her in for a kiss. She then whispered something in his ear as they walked off together into the red and gold confetti, like the final shot in a coming-of-age high school sports drama before it fades to black.
