Taylor Swift debuts snippet of re-recorded 'Love Story' thanks to Ryan Reynolds

Taylor Swift is giving fans a sneak peek at her new re-recorded music by way of a Match.com ad featuring the match of all time – Satan and the year 2020.

Swift, 30, shared that Ryan Reynolds used her re-recorded 2008 single "Love Story" for the hilarious commercial, produced by his Maximum Effort production company.

"Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so...here’s a sneak peak of Love Story!" Swift wrote to Twitter Wednesday. "Working hard to get the music to you soon!!"

Reynolds shared the ad to his own Twitter page earlier in the day writing: "A match made in hell is still a @match."

The ad for the dating site shows Satan and 2020 matching via the app, then meeting up in person to wreak havoc together — a true love story.

After 2020 tells Satan that she, too, is from hell, the new couple go on many romantic dates together. They have a picnic in the middle of an empty football stadium, steal toilet paper from public restrooms and take selfies in front of a literal dumpster fire.

The commercial closes with the new couple sitting on a bench together taking in the city sights.

"I just don't want this year to end," Satan tells 2020, as fire rains down from the sky. 2020 replies: "Who would?"

Last month, Swift issued a statement after Scooter Braun had sold the masters to her first six albums.

"I have recently begun re-recording my older music and it has already proven to be both exciting and creatively fulfilling," Swift's statement said. "I want to thank you guys for supporting me through this ongoing saga, and I can't wait for you to hear what I've been dreaming up."

The pop star said she had previously reached out to Braun's team about buying back her masters, but that, in order to start negotiations, she would have had to sign "an ironclad NDA," or non-disclosure agreement, which would only allow her to speak positively about the music manager.

Swift's newly re-recorded music snippet comes after she received the Icon Award at the Attitude Awards Tuesday and vowed to always advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in her acceptance speech.

"I'm really, really grateful for this, this is so amazing. I want to say thank you to anyone who had a hand in deciding that I should deserve this," Swift said. "Mostly I want to say thank you to the fans for giving me a platform to make music and to be vocal about the things I think are right and wrong."

"I just believe very firmly that everyone should be able to live out their love story without fear of discrimination," she said. "The way for that to happen is for us to continue to keep pushing governments to put protections in place for members of the LGBTQ community. And I promise to always advocate for that."
