Tamzin Outhwaite says she will never forget being bullied into making a 'tragic decision'

Tamzin Outhwaite has opened up about being bullied as an adult - saying she was pushed into making a “tragic decision”.

The former EastEnders actor shared a cryptic tweet about her experience of bulling, admitted she still suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result.

Outhwaite, 50, wrote: “I was bullied at school so badly that my parents took me out of the school & moved me to another. As an adult I was bullied into making a huge, tragic decision leaving me with PTSD that I will never forget. From experience, I can sniff a bully out from miles away.”

Replying to a follower who commented on her post, she added: “People close to you can bully you too... x.”

And the New Tricks star also shared a quote from writer Anne Lamott, which said: “You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories.

“If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.”

Outwaite split from her husband, Miranda star Tom Ellis, in 2013 after seven years together. They share two daughters, Flo, 12, and Marnie, eight.

She now lives with cameraman Tom Child, 29, who she met three years ago.

Outhwaite recently opened up on how happy she is with Child.

She said: “It was meant to just be a fling. Then it went from being a fling to, ‘I don’t want to be away from you’.

“For one of the first times in my life I’m living in the moment and not worrying about what’s going to happen, which is lovely."

The pair have also collaborated professionally as they worked together for online lockdown series Dun Breedin' with Child directing Outhwaite while filming in their home.

Outhwaite and Ellis had their divorce granted on the grounds of adultery in April 2014.

It was reported that Ellis had a brief fling while filming TV movie Gothica in the US in 2013.

He has since remarried to US screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer.

The Lucifer star, who also has 15-year-old daughter Nora from his relationship with Estelle Morgan, revealed back in August that he hadn't seen his children in seven months due to the coronavirus pandemic, as he was trapped in LA.
