King Willem-Alexander’s speech to lawmakers from both houses of the Dutch parliament is written by the government and lays out legislative plans and the budget for the coming year.

Malaysia freezes bank accounts linked to GISB after child abuse allegations
Malaysian authorities have frozen almost 100 bank accounts linked to an Islamic business group being investigated for suspected child abuse, a senior police official said on Tuesday. Authorities are investigating Global Ikhwan Services and Business (GISB) for allegedly running charity homes from which police last week rescued more than 400 children and youth. Police said many showed signs of sexual abuse and neglect.

Nearly 2 in 5 Americans at peak stress levels of this year
The average American feels like their head is spinning 156 times a year from stress, according to new research. A survey of 2,000 adults found that these stress headaches break down to three times a week and that respondents recalled having brain fog just as often. Looking at their current stress levels, the survey found that 41% said they’re at their peak stress for the year so far. Conducted by Talker Research for Traditional Medicinals, results showed that while 30% are hopeful that their stress level will go down by the end of the year, a quarter of respondents think there’s a chance it’ll go up (26%). Yet, 45% have never taken a mental health day or sick day from work solely because of stress.

Poland fortifies towns as deadly floods afflict central Europe
Volunteers in the Polish town of Nysa fortified floodwalls to stem swollen rivers on Tuesday after heavy rain and flooding round central Europe that has killed at least 18 people. Rivers were still spilling banks in the Czech Republic, while the River Danube was rising in Slovakia and Hungary, and flooding has also affected Austria. Poland has declared a state of disaster in the area and set aside 1 billion zlotys ($260.38 million) for flood victims.
