Takashi Murakami x Hublot Reunite for Sapphire Rainbow Watch

Following the success of their previous collaboration, Hublot and Takashi Murakami have teamed up on a second timepiece -- the classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow watch. The new version retains elements of the original model, but is updated with an addition of color and transparent effects.

The watch is symbolic when it comes to the characteristics of both collaborators. It features Hublot's exclusive technology in which the 45mm case is cut from sapphire crystal, and Murakami's smiling flower encased within. The flower petals are made of 487 stones representing colors of the rainbow -- including rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, tsavorites and yellow and orange sapphires.

The three-dimensional flower is brought to life through a ball-bearing system designed by Hublot's engineers. This causes the petals to move and keeps the timepiece running for 72 hours. A work of art on your wrist, the watch is currently available via Hublot for $106,000 USD in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
