Rose (Jenny Slate) is in a sensitive state when she first meets hapless copy store manager Bill (Nick Kroll) in the new comedy My Blind Brother. Her boyfriend was just killed by bus, chasing after her as she dumped him.
The hilarious new indie comedy My Blind Brother has no such compunction when it comes to Adam Scott’s visually impaired Robbie. “He’s a bit of a cocky fellow,” admitted Kroll (The Kroll Show) to Yahoo Movies at the recent Los Angeles press day for Brother, where he was joined by costar Jenny Slate (who plays Rose, the grieving woman they both fall for). Scott (best known for Parks and Recreation, which also featured guest spots from Kroll and Slate) was conspicuously absent at the press junket, giving his costars free rein to roast the hell out of him.
It’s where James Brown (as channeled by Eddie Murphy) gathered celebrities on Saturday Night Live, where Tom Hanks bared his heiny in Charlie Wilson’s War, and how John Cusack and friends went back to the future in Hot Tub Time Machine. The hot tub once again provides a perfect setting for debauchery in the new indie comedy Joshy, as you can see in the exclusive clip above. In the scene, Jodi (Jenny Slate) has joined a houseful of drunken buddies (including Nick Kroll, Adam Pally, and Thomas Middleditch) for after-hours bubbles… and might be regretting it.
