As the rollout of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story toys began early Wednesday, we got plenty of standard 3.75-inch Hasbro action figures. There were a few larger, 6- and 12-inch species from Hasbro and Disney Store. And, of course, dozens of Lego minifigures have popped up. But when it comes to supersizing Star Wars, no one does it quite like Jakks Pacific. The toymaker has a popular line of the aptly named Big-Figs, and Yahoo Movies has your first look at the full Rogue One set.
While Star Wars doesn’t have the same outsized presence at Comic-Con as The Force Awakens provided last year — Lucasfilm just held its own Star Wars Celebration Europe convention last week to hype the studio’s upcoming slate — there’s one booth on the floor here in San Diego that is embracing Rogue One in a big way. On Wednesday evening, Lego will unveil a life-size Death Trooper, one of the Imperial’s nasty black-armored squad featured in the new standalone film, and Yahoo Movies has your exclusive sneak peek. This trooper was created with 27,202 bricks (several thousand more than either the neighboring Captain America or Wonder Woman statues).
