'Wonder Woman 2' Script Being 'Worked On Right Now'

With Wonder Woman continuing her assault on the box-office record books, it’s no surprise that the film’s brain trust is already cranking away on a sequel. Although no details have been announced yet — we expect some news at Saturday’s Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con — director Patty Jenkins and DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns are teaming up for the Amazon princess’ second solo outing. “I’m working right now on the Wonder Woman 2 script,” Johns told Yahoo Movies.

'Justice League': Up Close With the New-Look Movie Costumes

Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) are getting together a bunch of their new super friends for (what DC and Warner Bros. hope is) a crime-busting good time in the upcoming Justice League, slated for Nov. 17. While we've glimpsed the new members in trailers and brief interludes in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we haven't really gotten a clear look at Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) until today.

Holy Easter Eggs! How 'The Lego Batman Movie' Celebrates the Caped Crusader's Big-Screen History

One triumph of The Lego Batman Movie is its ability to simultaneously satirize and celebrate the legacy of the Dark Knight, a rich history spanning eight decades of comic books, TV shows, and, especially, films. From Will Arnett’s Christian Bale-inspired gravelly growl to callbacks to the 1940s serial, The Lego Batman Movie is overstuffed with cinematic references and inside jokes. The pilot immediately calls out the Joker, pointing out how his previous big-screen endeavors were thwarted by the Caped Crusaders, alluding to both 2008’s The Dark Knight and 1989’s Batman.

'Gotham City Sirens' Has One Fan Artist Itching to Picture Imagined Poison Ivys to Join Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn

Emma Stone imagined as Poison Ivy by artist Kode A., a.k.a. Christmas came early for Margot Robbie when Warner Bros. announced that her breakout Suicide Squad character, Harley Quinn, would be getting her own spin-off movie in the form of Gotham City Sirens. Based on the DC Comics title of the same name, which ran for 26 issues between 2009 and 2011, the movie will re-team Robbie with her Squad director, David Ayer, and partner Harley with two more Gotham City bad girls: cat burglar Catwoman and seductive eco-terrorist Poison Ivy, who has the power to control men’s minds through plant pheromones.

Gal Gadot on what wearing the Wonder Woman costume feels like

Much like her ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ co-star Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot won over her detractors with her performance as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s divisive superhero face-off movie. As such, hopes are high that Gadot will really come into her own when she takes the spotlight in the upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ solo movie – the first big screen outing for the original super-heroine. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gadot had one key word to describe the outfit: “Tight.

'Wonder Woman' Is America's Not-So-Secret Weapon in New Trailer

It takes a woman to win a war in Wonder Woman, the next superhero film in the DC Extended Universe. The new trailer explains why the Amazon princess Diana (Gal Gadot) leaves her isolated homeland to fight alongside American troops in World War I as Wonder Woman. Although she finds turn-of-the-century fashions restrictive — “How can a woman possibly fight in this?” she asks while trying on a corseted dress — her bullet-deflecting bracelets and warrior skills are definitely an asset to the Allies.

Zack Snyder reveals new Wonder Woman image in Justice League

Arguably DC fans are most excited to see how the upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ turns, hoping it’ll be the turning point where the studio can begin to compete with Marvel for big screen prowess. While ‘Wonder Woman’ is in cinemas next summer and Patty Jenkins’ production is shaping up nicely, it’s perhaps Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ that looks set to be the film that competes with Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ series. With all the buzz around the character, Snyder (who’s directing ‘Justice League’ and is responsible for ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’) has shared a brand new image of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman on Twitter.
