Both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are likely breathing a sigh of relief that their private lives will not continue to be dragged through the courts and newspapers thanks to settling on a sum for their divorce. While something of a sting, the $7 million (just over £5 million) he will hand over to Ms Heard shouldn’t dent the war chest he’s likely amassed over 30 years in the movie business. Johnny Depp had better prepare for the full body search next time he heads to Australia. The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star mocked the much-derided public apology he made after his wife Amber Heard was cleared of smuggling the couple’s dogs Pistol and Boo into the country last year. While sitting on a throne during a press conference for new movie 'Alice Through The Looking Glass’ in London, he said: “I’m going to do this everywhere I go.
The agriculture minister who threatened to euthanase Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s Yorkshire terriers has offered his critique on the pair’s apology video. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have appeared in a video publicly apologising for bringing their dogs into Australia illegally. In a video posted by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, Depp and Heard appear contrite about flying their Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo into the country without the proper consideration for its strict quarantine laws. “Australia is a wonderful island, a treasure trove of unique plants, animals and people,” says Heard.

Amber Heard is reportedly in discussions to join ‘Aquaman’, with reports suggesting that she will play Mera, the love interest to Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry. The Hollywood Reporter have alleged that the Heard will actually make her debut in Warner Bros.’ DC Extended Universe in the first ‘Justice League’ film, which is due out in 2017, a year before Aquaman’s solo flick. Amber Heard is a solid choice to appear in the DC Extended Universe, having proven with the likes of ‘Magic Mike XXL’, ‘The Rum Diary’, and, most recently, ‘The Danish Girl’, just how magnetic she can be.

Heard has now been ordered to appear in court in the Gold Coast in November over allegations she illegally brought her and Depp’s Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo into the country earlier this year. According to magistrate Jackie McGee, she will face commonwealth offences of illegally importing animals into Australia and producing a false document. Technically, the offence could mean that Heard could go to jail for 10 years, but it’s unlikely such severe action would be taken.
