Sudwerk Brewing to open revamped restaurant and beer garden. Here are the details

Sudwerk Brewing — one of the Sacramento region’s longest-running craft breweries — is re-opening its restaurant in Davis, after revamping its location.

The restaurant will open Thursday, April 6.

“We’re excited to finally announce that the Sudwerk restaurant is opening!” the restaurant stated in a news release. “We’d like to thank you all for your patience and continued support as we made renovations to improve the Sudwerk experience.”

The spot initially closed in 2016, according to the Sacramento Business Journal, and was expected to open at the end of 2022 after a remodel. The brewing company, which was founded in 1989, also has a partnership with UC Davis on a collegiate-licensed beer.

Address: 2001 2nd Street, Davis

It features a dining room inside a working brewery. According to the restaurant website, fire pits and a 3,500-square-foot beer garden is coming soon.

The eatery will be under the helm of executive chef Troy Lockwood, who previously worked in Louie Oliver’s Steakhouse at Harrah’s Northern California and Seven Sisters at Black Oak Casino Resort.

Sudwerk will offer local and seasonal dining, as well and beers and wine from the region. The menu and prices haven’t been updated on the website.

The restaurant could not be reached for immediate comment.

It’ll be open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday; 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday.
