David Arquette Sells Encino Home He Bought From Kate Walsh

David Arquette recently offloaded an Encino, California, home that he bought from Grey’s Anatomy actress Kate Walsh just shy of three years ago. The residence, a midcentury California ranch-style home that Walsh extensively renovated during her ownership, sold for exactly $5 million in an off-market deal, Variety reports.

The property consists of a 4,332-square-foot main house featuring four bedrooms and three and half bathrooms, as well as a guesthouse with one bedroom and one bathroom, set on a little over one acre in the Royal Oaks neighborhood. The main house opens onto a living room with exposed wood beams, a unique gold leafing–fronted fireplace, and an entire wall of windows overlooking the backyard. The formal dining room similarly boasts a wall of windows facing the rear of the property, though its windows are actually retractable glass sliders that can push aside for an easy flow of indoor-outdoor entertaining. The kitchen, meanwhile, echoes the gold-leaf accent of the living room with gold handles on navy drawers, while the family room is eccentric, with a black-painted ceiling and navy blue walls.

The home’s four bedrooms are situated in a separate wing, and each room boasts views of the backyard. The master suite, much like the dining room, has a wall of glass sliders that open out directly onto the lawn. The suite also has plenty of luxurious trappings, like dual dressing rooms, a marble bathroom with deep-soaking tub and glass-fronted steam shower, and a sitting area.

In addition to a swimming pool, there is, rather unusually, a boxing ring in the backyard. The explanation? Arquette’s second, and perhaps lesser known, career is as a pro wrestler. “I don’t know why I did it for. I just felt a drive to do it,” the Scream actor told The Ringer of his decision to become a wrestler at age 48. “I knew I had to lose weight and was going on a weight-loss journey, so why not tie it in? I knew I was getting too old to do it again.”
