‘It’s stupid that provinces are resisting’ vaccine passports

Some provinces in Canada – including Ontario and Alberta – have chosen not to issue proof of vaccination systems, which has led to some businesses taking matters into their own hands.

As a result, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has decided to issue its own proof of vaccination framework to help businesses that want to develop their own system. “In the absence of government guidance on domestic applicability, we hope these principles can avoid a piecemeal approach in the province,” Ontario Chamber of Commerce CEO Rocco Rossi said in a statement.

On this episode of Crisis Management, Alicja Siekierska and the Public Policy Forum’s Sean Speer dig into the Ontario Chamber of Commerce framework and the decision by some provinces to not implement a proof of vaccination system.
