It's not often that an established clothing line collaborates with an up-and-coming paint company, but with splatter-paint designs and utility dressing on the rise, there's no better time than the present. So when I heard Madewell released a capsule collection with Backdrop, an internet paint company, it piqued my interest. Madewell is a clothing brand known for its classic styles and comfy jeans, while Backdrop is a paint company that brings ease and accessibility to DIY hopefuls. Needless to say, this limited-edition collection is a DIY lover or wannabe's dream.

Inspired by artists' workwear, the collection is dubbed Studio Hours and includes a new warm taupe paint color and apparel, such as a bucket hat, sneakers, overalls, and hooded sweatshirts, in the same neutral color. The pieces are just as appropriate for a comfy street style look as they are for actually unleashing your inner artist.
