Two Namibian opposition parties that are seeking to challenge the result of elections last month won a court order on Friday allowing them to inspect election materials they had requested to see. Namibia's ruling party SWAPO won both the presidential and parliamentary elections on Nov. 27, extending its 34-year rule in the southern African state. Opposition parties alleged the election was flawed and potentially invalid due to an extension of voting for several days, among other issues.

Police: 2 officers injured trying to catch car thief
Two officers were injured Thursday as part of a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle, police told 11 News. Officers received a call around 12:45 p.m. for a stolen vehicle. When they arrived, officers found the vehicle, but the driver took off before officers could initiate a car stop, police said. As multiple units searched the area, the car was spotted in the 3600 block of Frederick Avenue, police said. The driver then struck a patrol car intentionally, according to police. Eventually, the driver of the stolen vehicle got onto Interstate 695 and then onto I-70 West. The driver crashed into a wooded area and fled on foot, according to police.

A 28-year-old woman has been found not guilty of murdering her wealthy 77-year-old husband who styled himself as a Japanese Don Juan. Saki Sudo was charged after Kosuke Nozaki was found dead at his home in Tanabe City from a drug overdose in May 2018. Prosecutors accused her of marrying Mr Nozaki and then drugging him to inherit his fortune.
