Street Artist Pays Tribute To Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar Win

Leonardo DiCaprio’s long-awaited Oscar win had fans both relieved and excited after last weekend’s ceremony, with a street artist paying perhaps the ultimate tribute.

An unnamed artist in Los Angeles took to the streets in order to pay homage to presumably their favourite actor, by inscribing the words ‘never never give up’ next to larger than life artwork depicting a smiling Leo with his Oscar.

The mural looks awesome, with any chance of bypassers failing to notice the impressive feat an impossibility.

It’s taken DiCaprio, 41, over two decades to win one of the coveted gold statues, after a string of sterling performances in a number of acclaimed films such as ‘The Departed’ and ‘Inception’. But the Academy nominations only materialised for his roles in ‘The Aviator’ in 2005, ‘Blood Diamond’ in 2007, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ in 2014, before his winning performance in this year’s ‘The Revenant’.

The bold message about never giving up is worthwhile one, and likely inspiration to other actors out there.

It’s unclear how long this amazing artistry will remain in public view before being removed, but it’s on La Brea Avenue near Hollywood, if anyone happens to be passing.

We wonder if Leo’s been to check it out yet or whether he’s too busy polishing his Oscar.
