Storm Ian Transforms Florida Streets Into Rivers of Floodwater

Storm Ian restrengthened after passing through Florida on its way toward Georgia and the Carolinas, the National Hurricane Center said on Thursday, September 29.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff, downed trees and power lines and flooded roadways made driving “dangerous” in northeast Florida on Thursday.

President Joe Biden said that the storm may be the "deadliest hurricane in Florida’s history.” At least 10 people were known to have died by Thursday evening, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
