A bride-to-be‘s Facebook post is going viral for all the wrong reasons.

A Mumsnet user took to the online chatboard to ask users if they thought a friend’s post was rude and unreasonable.

In the post, the unnamed bride tells her friends to “take your ‘helpful advice’ and stick it up your arse” when they ask questions about her big day.

The post begins by suggesting people who aren’t invited to the wedding are asking too many questions. It then continues to list a number of “inappropriate” questions from her friends and family.

“To put the answer out there before anyone else asks, I am going to wear my glasses and, you know what, I don’t need to tell you why. Also to further answer questions – yes, I am changing my name, yes – I have picked my bridesmaids (they know who they are), yes – [blanked name] did pick the ring himself and yes – it was a complete surprise,” she wrote.

“If you have asked one of these questions and aren’t a member of our family or a close friend, you can go take a hike,” the bride continued. “Also, [blanked name] and I are the last people who need advice on how to plan and deliver an event so kindly take your ‘helpful advice’ and stick it up your arse!”

The woman who shared the post to Mumsnet asked fellow users if she was right to feel put off by the post.

God. That’s pretty cringy. Does she actually think people care that desperately about her wedding? The only reason people other than her close family will go is for a bit of booze and a knees-up, I imagine they couldn’t give a monkey’s arse about the fine details of this once-in-a-lifetime event and are only asking as a point of small talk or just general pleasantries,” one user replied.

Very rude. I would be politely declining an invitation to the wedding of someone who posted that. Reality is most people don’t care about her wedding but are being polite and making small (probably boring for them) talk with her,” added another.

We’re betting this bride’s guest list just got shorter.
