Brown is heading into the sixth and final season of “This Is Us” for NBC and 20th Television. Next month he’s scheduled to host a special for OWN alongside Oprah Winfrey, “Honoring Our Kings: OWN Honors Black Fatherhood.”

Brown’s Indian Meadow Productions, based at 20th TV, is working on an adaptation of the novel “Washington Black.” Indian Meadows is also producing the action movie “Shadow Force” as a partnership with Kerry Washington’s Simpson Street banner and Joe Carnahan.

As “This Is Us” heads to its conclusion, Brown is said to be focused on building up his movie resume. He had a supporting role in 2018’s “Black Panther” and starred in the 2019 family drama “Waves.” Other film credits include 2017’s “Marshall” and 2018’s “The Predator.” Brown’s past TV roles include a series regular gig on Lifetime’s “Army Wives” and “Person of Interest” and guest shots on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Insecure.”

Brown won back-to-back Emmy Awards in 2016 and 2017, first for his role as prosecutor Christopher Darden in FX’s “The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and the following year for “This Is Us.” He also nabbed consecutive nominations for “This Is Us” since 2018.

Brown continues to be managed by Jennifer Wiley Stockton at JWS Entertainment and represented by attorney Gregory Slewett at Ziffren Brittenham.
