The candy aisle is going to get sweeter, because the new Starburst Pops are here to make us rethink the way we enjoy the treat. Photos of the new lollipops have popped up on regional supermarket chain websites, including Ingles Markets, so it’s only a matter of time until they grace our presence in real life.
The Starburst Pops are modeled after the four original flavors that you know from the brand. There’s cherry (red), orange (orange), strawberry (pink), and lemon (yellow). On the outside, you’ll get a hard candy shell as the lollipop, and a fruit chew inside to remind you of the classic Starburst. It’s almost like you’re getting two treats in one!
Since Starburst hasn’t officially announced the new offering, we only know so much about their availability. It’s a good sign that they’re listed on various websites, and leads us to believe that we can expect to enjoy them sooner rather than later.
It appears that the 8.8-ounce bags are filled with a variety of the flavors, so now we can only hope that ours have more of the cherry and strawberry … sorry, orange and lemon. Who knows? Maybe an all-pink bag is in our future!
