Starbucks Summer Game Is Back And There Are 2.2 Million Prizes, Including Lots Of Free Coffee

Another summer, another way to win free stuff from Starbucks! While your favorite coffee shop is undoubtedly already gearing up for the fall season with the return of the pumpkin spice latte, they're also giving us another reason to celebrate summer before the change of the season with their seasonal promotion: the Starbucks Summer Game.

As a refresher, the Starbucks Summer Game is an annual happening that gives loyal customers the chance to earn a massive amount of points to be redeemed for drinks (and more!). While last year's game was more of a pinball-style type of game, this year, plinko lovers will get to show off their skills in the digital style game. For the first-timers out there though, there are a few things you need to know before you jump into playing the Starbucks Summer Game.

First up, only those who are Starbucks Rewards members are eligible to play. If you're not a member yet though, don't worry—it's super easy to sign up and you can do that here to start playing. Second, if you've never played plinko, this digital version of the game will see players "drop" a ball drop into an entry slot for an instant win prize or a grand prize sweepstakes. Sounds simple enough, right? Right!

There's another thing you need to know. Just like in years past, Rewards members can earn games to play by making eligible transactions at participating Starbucks locations in the United States by using either a Starbucks Card, a linked payment method, or by scanning the Starbucks app upon checking out. It's important to note, however, plays are limited to two per day, but that doesn't mean you can't rack them up.

In addition to winning a shot at more than 2.2 million prizes (!) including coupons for free iced beverages, Rewards members can look forward to scoring summer merch like Starbucks drink-inspired pool floaties, Bose Frames Soprano Audio Sunglasses, free handcrafted beverages for three months, 10,000 Stars, and so much more.

So if you've been looking for a reason to pop up at Starbucks lately, here's a reason to do so until August 22. You're welcome!
