Star-Lord’s Father & Villain Cast For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

For months everyone’s been speculating over what we will see in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′, directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt.

Speculation grew over when the MCU would establish who Star-Lord’s father is, considering the strength and inhuman power Pratt’s character displays during the climax of the 2014 movie.

During a Twitter Q and A, Gunn was asked about the mystery over who his pops is, as well as which new villain will feature as the film’s antagonists.

The director didn’t seem hesitant in confirming how far along they were in the film’s production. Sure, it’s no real surprise that the roles have been filled, but we still don’t know who will play these key roles.

Another interesting question posed by a fan on Twitter asked if more than one actor had been cast - implying the father and villain could in fact be the same person.

Gunn didn’t respond to that particular question, but instead of reading into it that he ignored to query to avoid spoilers, we can simply assume he didn’t see it.

He also addressed people asking about the film’s title, as one fan suggested ‘Another Guardians of the Galaxy’. Gunn claimed “I called it ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ because ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Dusk of the Rising Shadows’ is a paragraph.”

Although, we have to admit, we rather liked the below suggestion he claims to have pitched himself, which was ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Another Movie with Them’.

The ‘Super’ helmer also confirmed that Tyler Bates was back on board to score the sequel, which is obviously brilliant news, as he music was one of the strongest elements in the first instalment.

There are still a number of burning questions we’re desperate to hear answer for, as well who will be joining the already stellar, returning cast.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ is in UK cinemas from 28 April, 2017.
