Sprouts Farmers Market is opening another Sacramento-area store. Here’s where and when

Supermarket chain Sprouts Farmers Market, known for its affordable produce, is scheduled to open a location in Rancho Cordova later this year.

The chain currently has 10 locations in the Sacramento region. The new location at 10846 Bear Hollow Drive will open at 7 a.m. Nov. 11 and will compete with a variety of other supermarket and food specialty stores in a crowded, competitive food market.

Sprouts is a full-service supermarket with an emphasis on its produce, placing it at the center of the store. The company relies on high-volume sales of fruits and vegetables to offer pricing that often beats competitors such as Whole Foods.

Opening produces jobs, too

Sprouts’ opening also means more The store is recruiting 100 full- and part-time workers. A hiring fair will be held from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the DoubleTree Hotel Sacramento, 2001 Point West Way.

The store is seeking department managers, assistant department managers, courtesy clerks, cashiers and an administrative coordinator.

The company did not disclose the pay rate in the press release and a Sprouts spokesperson was not immediately available for additional details.

Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market has 128 stores in California, more than twice the number of locations of any other state.
