Spotted! What were Mark Wahlberg and UFC icon Dana White doing in Boise on Monday?
It’s celebrity sighting time again, Boise — with two-for-one action this time.
Months after actor Mark Wahlberg visited Boise, he returned and made a Monday appearance at a Meridian bar and grill.
That same day, another extremely rich guy was hyping booze in Boise: UFC president Dana White.
In April, Wahlberg surprised a Boise Albertsons by showing up to promote his Flecha Azul tequila. This time, he visited Giggy D’s, 505 S. Eagle Road, in a planned event. The Oscar-nominated actor posted on Instagram that Giggy D’s is the first place to launch his spirit. Wahlberg, 52, pressed the flesh and posed for lots of photos, including with radio personalities from My 102.7 FM.
Wahlberg was in town for the Idaho State Liquor Division Spirits Trade Show in Meridian, said Tony Faraca, CFO of the Liquor Division.
Meanwhile, UFC icon Dana White rolled into the Treasure Valley to pump his own brand of alcohol: Howler Head banana bourbon whiskey.
White also attended the industry trade show and “visited a couple of (liquor) stores,” Faraca said.
White, 54, tweeted video from a Boise liquor store at 808 S. Vista Ave., where he signed bottles and instructed followers to “get your ass down here and get some.”
I just signed bottles of @HowlerHead in Boise, Idaho, if you give a shit go grab one at literary the cleanest, most organized liquor store on EARTH!!!!
