Spotify Wrapped 2022 is here: How to view your favorite songs, artists and podcasts of the year

Spotify Wrapped is here, and the streaming platform’s annual ranking is ready to tell us all how much Beyoncé we listened to this year.

Spotify on Wednesday released its popular Wrapped feature, the annual list of what users listened to the most during the year. The catalog typically includes a user’s top artists, songs and podcasts, and other personalized stats about what they stream. This year, Spotify is rolling out a look at how users' listening habits change throughout the day, among other features.

The music streaming giant confirmed that Bad Bunny was the most-streamed artist globally in 2022, with more than 18.5 billion streams around the world this year. The second most-streamed artist was Taylor Swift, followed by Drake, The Weeknd and BTS.

More: Spotify Wrapped doesn't include any listening data from the last two months of the year

Harry Styles’ "As it Was” was the most-streamed song on Spotify around the world. The Joe Rogan Experience was the most popular podcast of the year globally on the streaming platform.

But how can you find your most-streamed song, artist or podcast of the year? Here’s what you need to know about your Spotify Wrapped.

How do I find Spotify Wrapped 2022?

You can find your Spotify Wrapped experience by going to the home page on the Spotify mobile app for iOS and Android. You can open your personalized story or see playlists that feature some of your favorite artists and songs from the year.

You can also listen to those playlists when using Spotify on a laptop or desktop computer.

Does Spotify Wrapped include the whole year?

If you discovered your new favorite song in November, it won’t be included on your list for 2022, since Wrapped only collects data from Jan. 1 to Oct. 31 for the yearly ranking.

People have wondered whether the late October deadline has to do with not including Christmas music in the list, but Spotify says it's a logistical choice. The company has explained that it only includes listening data until the end of October so it can complete the Wrapped report for users by the end of the year.

Wait, aren’t people already posting their favorite musicians of the year?

You might feel like you’ve already seen your friends’ favorite musicians of 2022 because of Instafest.

The website, which has spiked in popularity in recent weeks, shows Spotify users their most-played artists in a graphic that looks like a music festival lineup. You can also choose the time period when your most-streamed artists are chosen, including the past four weeks, six months or all-time.

But Instafest wasn’t made by Spotify. Instead, it comes from a third-party website made by University of Southern California student Anshay Saboo.
