Spider-Man’s Tom Holland Visits Doctor Strange Set, Immediately Sparks Cameo Rumours

As the latest addition to the Marvel family it’s not surprising to see Tom Holland becoming acquainted with the other members of the cinematic universe.

But the image of the new Spider-Man on the set of ‘Doctor Strange’ has immediately sent tongues wagging that he will have a cameo in the upcoming Marvel adventure.

While the above Twitter picture doesn’t show Tom Holland embracing the film’s lead star Benedict Cumberbatch, it does feature the 19-year-old actor stood alongside the film’s producer Louis D’Esposito as well as its director Scott Derrickson.

Tom Holland is beaming from ear to ear for the photograph, and he’s clearly enjoying every moment of his Marvel career so far. His debut as the beloved comic book icon will come in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, and soon after the picture emerged of Holland on the ‘Doctor Strange’ set rumours emerged that his second will come in the blockbuster.

And it’s hard to disagree with them. While it’s unlikely that Marvel will feature Holland within the actual film – they’ll want the Cumberbatch effort to stand-up on its own two feet – we can probably expect to see him swinging around in a post-credits scene.

Especially since the still untitled Spider-Man film will follow just under 9 months after the release of ‘Doctor Strange’, and a tease of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker would be the perfect way to build up hype.

Obviously, by this point, Marvel kind of know what they are doing when it comes to cameos and post-credit sequences, so we can trust them to introduce Spider-Man in the perfect fashion.

That will start when ‘Captain America: Civil War’ is released on May 6, 2016, will probably continue with ‘Doctor Strange’ on November 4, 2016, and will then well and truly kick into gear when ‘Spider-Man’ is released on July 28, 2017.
