We all know this is The Year of Star Wars; it’s also The Year of Star Wars Merchandise. And nowhere is the onslaught in fuller effect than this weekend’s Toy Fair in New York, which showcases the latest, greatest playthings heading to store shelves over the next 12 months.

Per usual, Lego is at the fore, with more than two dozen Star Wars construction sets in the pipeline and on display at Toy Fair, ranging from the previously announced large-scale Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader “Constraction” figures to Boba Fett’s tricked-out Slave I (below), and covering the first six live-action features, the two hit CGI-animated series and even The Force Unleashed video game.

While we’re still waiting to see what the brick slingers have in store for The Force Awakens (to prevent more spoilers, those sets will be teased out later), Yahoo Movies got an early peek at what will undoubtedly be one of the most coveted sets of 2015, the Ultimate Collector Series TIE Fighter.

Here are some exclusive photos of the 1,685-piece model, which includes a pilot, display stand, and descriptive plaque. Once assembled, the new brick version of the Imperial Navy’s chief starfighter will measure 18.5 inches tall, 12 inches long, and 12.2 inches wide. The set retails for $199 and will be available in May.

Meanwhile, we can also expect to see a slew of new Star Wars toys from the other chief licensees, notably Hasbro (which is rolling out all sorts of new action figures, weapons and vehicles) and Mattel (which has a Hot Wheels line inspired by iconic characters as well as a promising fleet of miniature die-cast spaceships).
