Light snow fell in New York City on January 16, as a storm brought wintry weather to the US northeast.

The city’s emergency management department urged travelers to exercise caution as the storm produced a wintry mix of rain and snow, creating potentially hazardous driving conditions.

At least 0.8 inches of snow fell in Central Park, the National Weather Service said.
