Snow Creates Serene Winter Scenes on Michigan's Drummond Island

The winter season was well underway in northern Michigan on Wednesday, December 1, as thick snow blanketed parts of Drummond Island in Lake Huron, as seen in this video from the Drummond Island Tourism Association.

The local National Weather Service (NWS) office in Gaylord said a series of clipper systems would bring more lake-effect snow and rain to the region from Wednesday through the weekend.

The NWS said between 3 to 6 inches of snow would fall across northeastern areas on Saturday, December 4, creating hazardous driving conditions, and that a winter storm would dump another 5 to 8 inches on Sunday. Credit: Drummond Island Tourism Association via Storyful
