Snap a shot next to ‘Taylor Swift Way’ sign on your way in to AT&T Stadium this weekend

Arlington Taylor Swift fans can now take photos in front of the “Taylor Swift Way” street sign, placed on the corner of Collins Street and Randol Mill Road at the northwest corner of AT&T Stadium, where she’ll be performing.

The sign will be up for the duration of her three Arlington “The Eras Tour” shows, from Friday to Sunday. This will be the singer’s fifth visit to the city.

“Arlington is participating in a friendly competition with other U.S. cities hosting The Eras Tour to demonstrate its ‘Reputation’ as one of Swift’s biggest fans,” the city says in a press release. “We don’t have any ‘Bad Blood’ with Las Vegas, which recently lit its Gateway Arches in colors that correspond with Swift’s various musical eras, but never in our ‘Wildest Dreams’ would we go so far as to ‘Change’ Arlington’s name as our friends in Glendale, Ariz., did when it rebranded as Swift City.”

The four-story steel sculptures in front of City Hall are being lit red during concert weekend, after the singer’s fourth studio album, “Red.” Mayor Jim Ross, who has declared March 31-April 2 as Taylor Swift Weekend in Arlington, will also present Swift with a key to the city.

In honor of the famous cat mom, Arlington Animal Services is hosting an adoption special this weekend. Residents can adopt a pet for $40, in honor of Swift’s 40 Top 10 Hits. VIP pets have a $9 adoption fee in honor of Swift’s nine No. 1 hits.

Swift made a “generous” donation to the Tarrant Area Food Bank ahead of The Eras Tour concert this weekend, Tarrant Area Food Bank said in a news release on Thursday afternoon. This will ensure “thousands of North Texans” will be able to feed their families.

“We want to thank Taylor for this gift, and for caring about people who may not know where their next meal will come from in the Tarrant Area,” said Julie Butner, President & CEO of Tarrant Area Food Bank. “Food banks across the state are seeing increases in need due to inflation rising costs and we know her donation couldn’t have come at a greater time of need. Today at the Taylor Area Food Bank, as we’ve been calling it all week, Taylor is a Hunger Hero.”
