No. 11-seed Loyola-Chicago has fought its way into the Sweet 16, thanks to a pair of buzzer-beating shots in both of the first two rounds.
Right along side them was, of course, Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, Loyola-Chicago’s 98-year-old team chaplain and super scout. Sister Jean has taken the nation by storm, becoming one of the most recognizable faces of the NCAA tournament.

Sister Jean made the trip with the Ramblers to Atlanta for their Sweet 16 matchup against Nevada — and the hype surrounding her hasn’t died down.
Just check out this Sister Jean “hype song” from The Ringer:

Why this wasn’t done sooner, we’re not sure. But it is a perfect representation of what Sister Jean means to the Ramblers program.
Ahead of their game against Nevada, Sister Jean met also Mariah Musselman — Wolf Pack coach Eric Musselman’s daughter.
Mariah first gained national attention after Nevada’s overtime win against Texas in the opening round of the tournament, when she conducted an adorable interview with her father on television.

So keep an eye out for these two when Nevada and Loyola-Chicago face off on Thursday night. It’s bound to be entertaining.
Oh, and don’t forget: Sister Jean picked against the Ramblers in the Sweet 16 in her initial bracket. We’ll see if the Ramblers can prove her wrong.
