Shaq says he and Kobe would beat LeBron and A.D. in 2-on-2: 'Hell yes'

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal joined The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday night where he was faced with an interesting hypothetical: Who would win a 2-on-2 game: he and former Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant, who won three straight championships together, or current Lakers playing their first season together, LeBron James and Anthony Davis

It should be noted that the question was posed as him and Kobe being in their primes at the time of the hypothetical game. In his prime, Shaq was an unstoppable force. Kobe is one of the most clutch players ever to play the game. LeBron has been dominating the NBA since entering the league in 2003. And A.D. is a perennial all-star when healthy and one of the best young players in the league today. But Fallon should have known Shaq’s answer before he even asked the question.

“I like having these conversations because of course they can never be answered,” Shaq said. “But yes. The answer is yes. Hell yes. Hell yes. Of course.”

And even though Shaq has heaped praise on Kobe in the past, going so far as to call him the best ever to play for the Lakers, Kobe isn’t the reason Shaq’s so confident they’d win.

“I mean, because there’s only one contributing factor,” Shaq said. “Who’s gonna guard me?”

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
