Scout Willis took a page from Madonna’s playbook at Art Basel Miami Beach on Thursday night.
The 31 year old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore showed up (and how!) at the waterfront Saint Laurent popup exhibit celebrating the 30th anniversary re-release of Madge’s “Sex” coffee table book.
Remember that one? The controversial tome was edgy even back then, years before the Internet age and Only Fans.
“It is fascinating to see how ‘Sex’ aligns with concerns central to our time and its counterpoint movements, where what was hidden becomes transparent, transgression becomes the norm, provocation becomes affirmation, and elitism is replaced with inclusivity,” said the show’s description. “The evolution of values allows us to graph the full irony and power of this work, whose images – underappreciated at the time because of their provocative nature – find new resonance in a current context.”
Of the many X and PG 13 snaps of Madge in the controversial page turner, some were shot in Miami, like the iconic black and white hitchhiking pose in her birthday suit, with ciggy dangling from her lips.
Despite the fact that the guest of honor, 64, made an, um, dramatic entrance to the pavilion on the sand in a bustier, fish nets and a riding crop, Willis managed to steal a bit of the spotlight.
On Instagram, the budding singer shared a video reminiscent of the iconic photograph of Marilyn Monroe in a dress standing over a subway grate while shooting “A Seven Year Itch” In 1954.
“Photos from inside the sexiest YSL wind tunnel,” Willis captioned videos from the breezy event, whose guests also included model Hailey Bieber, actress Zoe Kravitz, reggaetonero Rauw Alejandro as well as Madonna’s kids Lourdes Leon and Rocco Ritchie.
Want “Sex” yourself? You can pre-order the Callaway publication for $2,200 via YSL. Sorry, not in time for the holidays, though; you’ll get it by February 2023.
