Yahoo Movies Sex and the City revival series is bringing back a familiar character
Sex and the City's upcoming revival series is set to bring back another familiar face.
Just a few months after stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon revealed that they would be returning for a new chapter of the cult show, dropping a teaser trailer simultaneously on social media, John Corbett has announced that he'll be appearing in it too.
Describing his involvement as "very exciting," the My Big Fat Greek Wedding actor confirmed via Page Six that he'll feature "in quite a few" episodes, before adding: "I like all those people, they've been very nice to me."

From 2000 to 2003, Corbett played Aidan Shaw on SATC, the charismatic carpenter who went on to become the short-lived fiancé of Carrie Bradshaw (Parker). He eventually broke up with the New York City-based writer though due to her inability to commit and his trust issues, brought about by Carrie cheating on him with Mr. Big (Chris Noth).
Carrie went on to marry Big, and Aidan got hitched to someone else, too. When Corbett cameoed as the character in Sex and the City 2, it was suggested that he was still with his wife, and that they had three children together.
But things got a little complicated when Aidan and Carrie shared a romantic meal and a kiss.

It has previously been stated that Noth won't be in the reboot, nor will Samantha Jones actor Kim Cattrall.
"Just as in real life, people come into your life, people leave. Friendships fade, and new friendships start," HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys told TVLine.
"So I think it is all very indicative of the real stages, the actual stages of life… They're trying to tell an honest story about being a woman in her 50s in New York. So it should all feel somewhat organic, and the friends that you have when you're 30, you may not have when you're 50."
And Just Like That is set to consist of 10 half-hour episodes, with production planned to start later this year.
