A Sex and the City star has announced that they will be appearing in the show’s forthcoming revival.

The rebooted series, titled And Just Like That…, will run for a 10-episode mini series on HBO Max and is scheduled to film this spring.

Now, actor John Corbett, who starred in the comedy-drama series as Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) long-term boyfriend Aidan Shaw, has revealed that he will star in “quite a few” episodes.

“I’m going to do the show,” he told Page Six, adding that he was “very excited” by the news.

“I like all those people, they’ve been very nice to me.”

On Sex and the City, Carrie and Aidan broke up after she confessed to having had an affair with Mr Big (Chris Noth). The pair later get back together and even get engaged, although later split again.

It is revealed later in the series that Aidan got married and had three sons with his wife.

As well as the series, Corbett reprised his role in the 2010 film Sex and the City 2, where the former partners meet for dinner and share a kiss.

Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will all star in the rebooted series, although Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones on the show, will not be returning.
