Several Injured in Paris Apartment Building Fire

Firefighters in Paris were battling a blaze in a four-story apartment building on the Rue de Longchamp on the morning of Wednesday, June 29, which national media reported had caused at least 12 injuries, three of which were classed as serious.

Footage recorded by Ana Galeli shows a large plume of black smoke rising from the apartment building, in the city’s 16th arrondissement.

The Pompiers de Paris issued an alert about the fire on Wednesday morning, asking residents to avoid the area.

The service told BFMTV firefighters had not yet been able to reach all the floors of the building, and that around 100 staff were working to put out the blaze. Credit: Ana Galeli via Storyful
